This memorial is for my late grandad who passed away when i was 6 years old.
Granddad, i never really got to know you well, as you lived some distance away from us, but i have some memories of you coming down to mums and taking us out. I still look back on the recordings mums got of us all on holiday, and the laughs we used to have.
It was devasting to find out that you had been diagnosed with cancer, it wasnt fair, you were young.
You took the news well, it shocked the family, you were doing so well until you got rushed into hospital a few days before your grandson harrys 2nd birthday.
Mum and uncle gary drove up to london to be with you, and me and harry got left with nan.
Then a few days later on harrys 2nd birthday we got the phonecall to say you had passed away. It was so upsetting i wish i had got to know you better.
I couldnt coem to the funeral because i was so young, but i visit you alot at your grave. I cant believe its been 13 years this year that youve been gone.
Now grandad, your not alone, you've got Tyler, my son, your great grandson with you, please look after him for me as me and craig didnt get the chance.
